The Story

Forged where lightning strikes the highest storm clouds, Pyrathor is said to be one of the rarest celestial creatures ever witnessed.

Unlike ordinary phoenixes, Pyrathor does not rise from ashes. Instead, it is reborn within the heart of violent thunderstorms, where blazing fire and roaring lightning collide.

Its feathers burn with eternal solar flames, while its enormous wings leave glowing embers drifting through the sky. Every powerful wingbeat can ignite the clouds around it, creating dazzling flashes that resemble miniature suns.

Legends say Pyrathor appears only to those who refuse to give up, becoming a symbol of courage, resilience, and new beginnings.

Special Abilities

Solar Wings
Its feathers generate intense heat capable of evaporating rain before it reaches the ground.
Storm Flight
Can ride lightning currents at incredible speeds through thunderclouds.
Ember Trail
Leaves behind glowing embers that slowly fade into golden stardust.
Phoenix Renewal
When defeated, Pyrathor disappears in a burst of brilliant light before eventually being reborn inside another great storm.
Weaknesses
Pyrothor's flames begin to weaken if it remains far from storms for too long. Without the energy of the sky, its rebirth cycle slows dramatically.
Fun Fact
Ancient sailors believed spotting Pyrathor meant surviving even the fiercest storm, as the phoenix was thought to guide the lost toward calmer skies.

Commission Details

Jordan asked me to draw a phoenix using fire colours, so I made it in my own style. I gave it a really big beak so it could catch prey easily and stand out from other birds. I made its eyes sharp so it could see through the clouds and across the sky. I gave it huge wings so it would look really powerful and fly super fast. I made the tail point down so it could fly up, down, left, and right like a hummingbird. I wanted it to be a phoenix that looked strong, unique, and different from any bird in the real world.
